Photography set up

I saw that another student had included a list of cameras and lenses etc. and felt that this might be a good idea. My photo equipment is currently the following:-
  • Nikon D200 (CCD 2/3 full 35 mm)
  • Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5 ED
  • Nikon AF Nikkor 70-210 mm 1:4 - 5.6 D
  • Nikon Close up lens 0.5 T for 70-210 zoom
  • Lightweight tripod and shutter release
  • Polarising filter for 18-70 mm lens

  • Canon Power shot S3 iS (used as alternative to Nikon when travelling light)
  • Integral Canon Zoom lens 6 -72 mm 1:2.7 - 3.5 USM (note limitations of f 8 smallest aperture and maximum ISO 800).
  • Polarising filter

I use Lightroom 1.4 supported by Photoshop Elements 7 to work with images.

This set up reflects my primary interest in holiday photography

Planning

Timing
Have listed down all the exercises and assignments for the course and tried to estimate rough timing. It looks like I might have completed assignment 1 by mid March next year, with following sections taking until the end of 2010. No idea at the moment how realistic this is. Only way is to start and see how I get on.

Program
I am assuming I can complete an exercise each week, except when I know that we will be away. This means half a day reading/preparation, a half or full day taking the images and another half day to sort and process the results.
